ABOUT US

Fenn Films is a non-profit organization devoted to making movies and artistic works to inspire peace between human beings around the world.

Who We Are.

We are a Lyon (France) based — the city where the cinema were born! —, independent non-profit organization devoted to making movies & artistic works to inspire and help communities and human beings around the world to build and develop strong and stable peaceful relationships through positive, enriching and creative initiatives.

Fenn Films was born on the original idea of connecting art and peace around the world, through its works.

Let’s tell you how we work to achieve it.

We are completely independent. Not the easiest path by far but that is great! We have a complete artistic freedom, and we take care of the whole process : from the first lines of the story to the final work. So what? Our works are our stories, and our stories are our works. They do embrace all the aspects of our vision for art, and our vision for peace.

We make our movies and artistic works based exclusively on our own original stories, in which we make the most different people meet for the first time, and make them walk part of the way together.

It is about giving always a sense to the art that we want to make. And a power. And a vision. And a spirit.

All of these to tell people magical stories that have a deep and a positive impact in their lives, in their hearts, in their perception of the world, and in their relationship with people around them.

The power of our stories and art to inspire peace between human beings around the world. That is wonderful! That’s all?

Far from it!

Our 100% model means all public donations and all profits from our art fund projects for peace around the world, that we realize alone or in partnership with trusted non-profit organizations that share our vision.

Meet the founder.

SouFiane Fenn

Founder

It all started with a movie.

When he was 17 years old, Soufiane made an extraordinary encounter with a woman who immediately inspired him with the very first idea of Fenn Films : making films to bring joy, magical, light and peace into the lives of people around the world.

A summer day of July, many years ago, he first ‘met’ Sherilyn Fenn in the movie “Just Write” which tells the story of a Hollywood tour bus driver (played by the talented Jeremy Piven) who poses as a screenwriter to romance an up-and-coming young actress. This encounter of two literally different worlds produced positive changes in their lives, after a road calling into question many of their respective certainties.

It was at that moment when the conviction was born in him that the power to make the lives of people more peaceful and happier could be given to movies – movies in which we’d make the most different people meet for the first time in their lives, and make them walk part of the way together. And of course, to live up to the challenge of having such a power, those movies would also have to fund projects for peace around the world.

The dream of Fenn Films was definitely born and will never leave his heart.

He though didn’t know that the road would be so long and so tough to make the dream of Fenn Films come true.

Soufiane was so young and the system is what it is. So he had to start some studies in law, and after having been finally graduated in France, he decided to definitely follow his passion for telling stories and artmaking. He travelled to New York City to consider the different ways to officially create Fenn Films and at the same time, to seek funds for the making of its first film project : “8 Angry Women” film documentary, which story was born there.

Since then, back to France, despite many obstacles and disappointments, he never stopped improving many aspects of Fenn Films, while he was working mainly in marketing for a couple of years to make his living.

In late 2020, in the middle of Covid-19 Pandemic, he lost his job. He then took refuge completely in Fenn Films, which became a life-saving comfort for him. On 2021, he created the project of “Human Artists” photoblog, and on October 2022, launched a new chapter for Fenn Films, with the conviction that more than ever, its mission has to take its rightful place in a world full of war and violence.
